9 Weeks to go

Is it really that soon? Getting a bit nervous when I think of it in those terms.

Today was the standard recovery run - 5.95 miles in 53:07. Nothing much else to say about it apart from I didn't feel as bad as some of the "day after the LSD" recovery runs have felt.

Total for the month86
Total for the year291

The Parrot predictor isn't as good as a couple of weeks ago (closing on 3:15) but then the mix of runs is different only one steady state and one long interval with longer recovery runs. What is encouraging is that my long run speed is improving, albeit only by a couple of seconds per mile but every 2 seconds per mile is nearly a minute over the length of a Marathon.

Next week brings the Bramley 20, that will be the first true indicator of my readiness to run sub 3:30 at London. Fingers crossed!
